- The Bible is the true Word of God -written by humans, yet inspired by God, so that it is free from error. It is the sure and certain source for knowing who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for us.
- The Bible is the foundation and touchstone for everything that the Church believes, teaches, confesses, and practices.
- There is only one true God, the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - three Persons in one Divine Being.
- All people are sinful and cannot be saved by anything they think, say, or do.
- All people are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone.
- This Gospel message -the Good News of our salvation in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection- is the heart and core of our worship and life!
- Faith in Jesus Christ is a living and vibrant gift that will produce works which are pleasing to God, such as a life of dedication and commitment in worship, prayer, service to God, and kindness and love for all people.
- God gives all spiritual blessings by special means, the Means of Grace -the Gospel in Word and Sacrament.
- Jesus Christ, true God and true man, will return visibly to earth on the Last Day, the dead will be raised and unbelievers will suffer eternally in hell and believers will live forever in heaven in glorified bodies.
